Converting from GotSoccer to Stack Sports

Current Status as of 2-22-19

Several clubs have signed contracts and either begun or completed the vendor training.    We also have several that have received the contracts but have yet to signed.   What we have heard is that some clubs are uncomfortable providing bank account information.  We understand and agree with your concerns.  If you do not want to use the Stack Pay feature, you don't need to get the Merchant Account Contract.  You can ask for the "Non-Processing" contract.  No financial information is needed for this account.

We also have a handful that have not started the process.  This needs to be done as soon as possible.  The longer it takes to get on-boarded and receive the training, the less likely you will be comfortable with the system as it rolls out.    WMYSA also understands this is a large undertaking for clubs and we have been asked if we will waive late fees due to the transition.  Here is our take on this subject:

WMYSA has always strived to eliminate late fees.    This is why our due dates provide more time than other leagues such as GVSA.  Currently WMYSA generates only 7% of its revenue from late fees.  Other leagues generate as much 30-40% from late fees because their due dates are much earlier than ours.

Obviously if there are legitimate issues with registration due to system issues and learning curves we would be lenient.  However, this is a case by case basis.  Clubs who are not on-boarded and trained by our March 23rd meeting would need to provide compelling reasons for the fee waiver.  This is because the learning curve for this system was self imposed.  WMYSA provided plenty of time and opportunity to complete that process by that time frame. March 23rd.  Why March 23rd?  On that date WMYSA will be holding a registrar round table training/process session to ensure all clubs are on the same page.

Here is What You Need to Know.

  • To play in WMYSA, all clubs are required to establish an account with Stack Sports, They just aren’t required to use it.

  • There are two kinds of accounts.  The first is one where you use Stack Pay and are required to give bank information.  The other is a Non-Processing Account where no bank information is needed.

  • Clubs who choose not to use their Stack account for WMYSA registration will be charged an additional fee that has yet to be determined.  This is because we need that information in our system to do schedules, create cards, rosters and generate game day sheets.

  • Teams concerned about doing GotSoccer Tournaments.    Similar to how US Soccer requires all state associations to upload player data into US Soccer Connect (part of Stack Platform), the State requires us to upload that data into GotSoccer for them.  Therefore, we will upload all data into your GotSoccer account for you at no charge. However, this is only player and team information.  It does not include certified rosters.  If you need a pdf of your certified roster in your GotSoccer account, you will need to get that from your Stack account.

  • Premier teams have two options:   If they choose to use GotSoccer we will do what we normally do within GotSoccer with no additional fees.    If you use Stack, we will do everything in Stack and then upload into GotSoccer for no fee.  We will even enter your team into the State scheduling event for you. This is not included for those choosing to enter Premier into GotSoccer themselves.

  • WMYSA will be holding a roundtable registrar meeting at the Fetzer Center on Saturday, March 23rd from 1pm-5pm.  Each club may bring two people and lunch will be provided.  This meeting is to ensure all clubs are up to speed on the process and use of Stack Sports System.
