Beginning this spring, WMYSA will begin acknowledging clubs for their ongoing  community outreach program.  We want to show the community what WMYSA is doing; more specifically what our clubs are doing.  One thing we will be doing is looking for news stories about clubs.  What have your teams done in the community that we can highlight in our news section of the website.  Examples can be anything from food drives, visits to nursing homes, christmas caroling, mission trips, etc.

Another initiative is our Facebook Photo Album of the week.  Each week during the season we will create a new photo album where we want your parents, players and coaches to upload a few game photos. This also includes photos of the sidelines.  The fans are as much a part of the experience as everyone else.   Those photos will then be used in two ways.

First, we will use these to randomly select photos for the website. Photos will be used on the front page slide show.  Next we will randomly (rotating as much as possible) select teams each month from the facebook photos to run a highlight on as "teams of the month".  We will reach out to those teams to get a small narrative from them about what they want people to know about their team. If a team has not submitted any they can't be selected.

Beginning in January,  Ann Michaels will be reaching out to your club once a month with a reminder about these initiatives.   So, if your proud of your clubs, and I am sure you are, help us show everyone else why.  To take advantage of the free advertising, make sure you let your coaches and parents know.
