Coaching development is very important to WMYSA. It is important to invest in coaching development to provide a better environment for our players to learn, grow and have fun.
Therefore, WMYSA has arranged for a the Michigan State Youth Soccer Association (MSYSA) to provide a "Improving First Touch and Decision-making" clinic right here in our WMYSA area. This clinic is targeted for U8 Academy through U14 coaches. The clinic will be held on Tuesday, March 6th from 7:00 till 10:00 at the Kingdom Indoor Center. (8151 Merchants Place, Portage). Thanks goes out to the Kingdom Indoor Center who has donated the use of their facility. The clinic will be run by MSYSA clinician Patrick Moran.
This clinic is free to WMYSA registered coaches. For planning purposes please RSVP through Got Soccer. The clinic will have field components so please dress appropriately to participate on the Kingdom indoor turf.
Clinician Patrick Moran is very experienced and will provide a wealth of information to help you coach small-sided youth soccer. Clinician Moran has been a State Staff instructional coach since 1998, licensing over 1,400 Michigan Coaches. He is a Nationally Licensed by USSF coach. He has been active in the Olympic Development Program (ODP) being the ODP 101 West Director and an ODP age group head coach, Coach Moran has been a head coach for Recreation, Academy, Select, Premier and High School soccer teams. He is competitive soccer club director coaching. He is a published author of Soccer books and articles and has a BS in Exercise Physiology, with a minor in Coaching.
