WMYSA believes it is important for all coaches to have training and continuing education as well as instructional materials available for the coaches within the league.  WMYSA has a dedicated Clinic Coordinator on its Board.  WMYSA works to schedule at least two training clinics each year.  The topics vary to cover both the differing ages as well as skill development.  In fact, WMYSA is one of the few leagues which consistently takes advantage of MSYSA benefit of them providing a Coaching In Service training session.  WMYSA had a the opportunity to have a local training session led by the MSYSA Director of Coaching, Paul Thomas in March.

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) holds annual conventions where they provide both lectures and field sessions.   WMYSA has purchased club access to the 2013, 2014 and 2015 online libraries for the lectures and field sessions which were video taped.  Please contact your club on how to access this information.

Where do I go for required license, certificates & training?

The USSF license courses can be found by visiting MSYSA.  This page gives an overview of each of the license levels as well as the current locations for taking the class and the link to register.   In order to keep your information altogether in one location, WMYSA recommends using your individual coach account which is created in GotSoccer with your club.
