Thank you note from 2018 WMYSA Scholarship Recipiant
It's rare we as a board receives thanks for what we do. As I am sure each club can attest, that just something that goes with the territory of being on a board. Yet recently we had a former Scholarship recipient reach out to us to express her gratitude after completing her freshman year in college. I thought I would share this with you.

To me sportsmanship is a positive attitude relating to activities which demonstrate the way we all treat each other. Its treating each other during sporting events fairly, maintaining self-control and showing respect for both authority and your opponents. Whisper Weekend Reminder 4-13-19
Week one starts tomorrow , so this is the first of eight Whisper Weekend Reminders you will be receiving this season. The reminder is a way to update you on the progress of the program and keep the program fresh in your mind. This way over the next few days, it will be easier to remember and remind one another to Whisper their frustration rather than vocalizing it and creating a negative environment.

2019 WMYSA Registrar Round Table Session
On Saturday,
March 23, 2019 WMYSA hosted ten clubs at the Fetzer Center for a 3 hour round table session training/discusion regarding the Stack Sports implementation. See more on our Twitter or Facebook accounts. Clubs in attendance were Allegan, BC Fire, DBSS Sting, Force, Kalamazoo, Marshall, Michiana Storm, Portage, Red Arrow & River Oaks.

2019 WMYSA Presidents Award Dinner
On Friday, February 22, 2019 WMYSA held it's annual awards dinner at the Fetzer Center at Western Michigan University. Both Elise VanSparrentak and Ryan Bare were recognized, This year we had the most applicants we have ever had.

Represented at the dinner for clubs was: Allegan, BC Fire, Force, Kalamazoo, Kingdom, Midwest United, Portage, RASC & SWM. Clubs Absent were: Athletic Jaier, DBSS Sting, Marshall, Michiana Storm & Sturgis.Febuary 22, 2019
WMYSA Wants Your Help - Share Your Social Media Photos
We need help in collecting photos of games-practices and activities your teams and clubs are taking part in. Photos will be randomly selected and shared on our Website & Facebook Page. All you need to do is to include #wmysasocccer with your tweets and instagram.

These photos will also be used at the annual awards dinner held in February of each year. Once completed it will also be posted to the website.
MSYSA Hall of Fame:
Congratulations to David Rice of Portage Soccer Club. Tonight he was inducted into the Michigan Youth Soccer Association Hall of Fame. His dedication over the years has helped grow the development and love of soccer for many in our community! Even after 20 years, he continues to be a strong supporter and role model for coaches and players alike!
